British Academy Innovation Fellowship

We are delighted to have been notified that Adam has received a British Academy Innovation Fellowship to work with Ufonia on their Conversational User Interface, Dora.

"Effective conversational AI in telemedicine - Exploring with Dora: identifying principles of effective conversational AI through an autonomous telemedicine service" will run this year, and act as a proof of concept for investigating how Conversation Analysis can be used in the product development of a conversational User Interface. This project brought together expertise from Applied Linguistics at Newcastle University, and Ufonia, a market leading organisation in conversational AI, to investigate what makes interactions between humans and AI systems most effective.
