Beyond Boundaries Global Festival

Spencer and Nikoletta Ventoura (Ufonia) gave a talk at the Beyond Boundaries Global Festival in Barcelona (BBB24, 25-26 April). This is a conference for 250 professionals working in the Conversational AI industry.

In our talk, we set out a workflow where Conversation Analysis can be fed into the product development work of a Conversational AI system, working in partnership with Conversation Designers and Engineers. The case study we focused on was our own, with Conversation Analysts from Newcastle University able to collaborate with the Conversation Design team at Ufonia on fine-tuning Dora, Ufonia’s automated clinical assistant.

The conference was organised by The Conversation Design Institute, and offers an amazing gathering of both industry representatives and academics working on all things Conversational AI.
